A variety of cultural influences have helped Gazelle develop her unique Universal Cabaret Style of dance. Gazelle's experience includes performances in Middle Eastern and Greek Restaurants as well as parties, and cultural events. Her inspiration and studies include the most famous dancers from around the world; Ibrahim Farrah, Delilah, Mesmera, Achmed Housein, Susanna Del Vecchio, Fahteim, Amaya, Sahra, Mahmoud Reda, Horacio, to name a few.
Teaching dance since 1991, she focuses on technique as well as the use of energy in her classes to help each student reach their full potential. Benefits that develop from these classes are strength, balance, flexibility, increased stamina, poise, and sensuality. Gazelle's classes include Sword, Veil Work, Zills, and Costuming.
Astarte is a Professional Dance Troupe created and is directed by Gazelle. The members of the group have been selected from the dance classes she teaches, as well as a collaboration of professional dancers. The group performs at Restaurants, Cultural Events, Conventions, and Parties.
Gazelle's is also a professional Costume Designer. She worked 10 years as the designer for the ASU Dance Department and for Professional Dance and Theater companies. In 1995, she opened a dance studio and costume shop in Scottsdale where she taught Belly Dance, designed custom costumes, and created a costume rental business.
She has recently returned from Egypt and is now an Egyptian trained and Certified Belly Dance Instructor.
